Weather Information

Bad weather may delay or cancel Stuttgart schools. When this occurs, it will be noted on the "Weather, Road Conditions, & DoDDS status" link below.

When bad weather delays reporting for duty in the morning, or causes early release in the afternoon, the Stuttgart Garrison will send out an announcement to USAG Stuttgart garrison employees (and an information copy to tenant unit chains-of-command).

Reporting delays or early releases for non-USAG Stuttgart employees (EUCOM, AFRICOM, MARFOREUR, etc) will be determined and disseminated by those specific units chains-of-command.

EUCOM personnel can find their weather-specific information here: www.eucom.mil/english/weather.asp

Watch, warning & advisory...

WEATHER WATCH: A weather watch is based on POTENTIAL only, and is designed to give advanced notice of a potential (maybe yes; maybe no) weather event.

WARNINGS/ADVISORIES: Forecasted events expected to occur at a specific time and for a specified duration.

WARNINGS are generally for severe weather.

ADVISORIES are for non-severe weather that can still negatively impact the mission.
